Meet the Staff


Paralegal Shelly Goodwin, a native of Georgia, has 15 years legal experience and has been with the firm since 2002.  Mrs. Goodwin is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, where she earned both a B.A. (Magna cum laude) and an M.A. (with Honors), and received the Dean’s Leadership Award.  Mrs. Goodwin focused her education on Organizational Communication and Human Resources.  She is certified by the Society for Human Resources as a professional in her field of endeavor.

Shelly Goodwin is the point person at Mark Lang & Associates and is the conduit for most communication between clients and the attorneys at the firm.  Her education and experience provides clients with secure and calm handling of even the most pressing of matters.  Our clients, and opponents, enjoy working with her.



Paralegal Melissa Escoffery joined the firm in 2014 and serves as writer, coordinator and law clerk at Mark Lang & Associates. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Escoffery worked as a paralegal for twelve years in Estate Planning, Probate, Civil Litigation and Trust Administration matters.

A native of Illinois, Ms. Escoffery is a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Currently, Ms. Escoffery is pursuing a law degree and attends Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law in Orlando.
